Bunnahabhain Whisky Price

The duty Bunnahabhain on stills was subsequently increased to three pounds sterling per gallon of capacity. The Braeval distillery (formerly known as Braes of Glenlivet) was one of the youngest distilleries in Scotland at the end of the 20th Bunnahabhain century. Glencadam is matured in oak wood Bunnahabhain casks in our traditional dunnage style warehouses. The distillery is quite interesting from a technical point of view. The former, made from locally sourced grain, has a caramelly nose, and is an explosion on the palate—all dusty rye and intense flavor, backed with a lot of alcohol.

Hint of something medicinal at the back, but with heavy brown sugar notes swamping. Mutter considerably expanded the distillery and as the name Bowmore began to travel, demand for the whisky grew. Knockdhu Bunnahabhain distillery is located in the Eastern part of Speyside (some say Eastern Highlands), North-east of the Isla river, South-east of Knock Hill and nearby the Knock Farm.

The Cambus Cooperage facility is surrounded by pyramids of barrels. The whisky itself is full of spicy character, from being aged in bourbon barrels, and Glenburgie comes alive with a dash of water to reveal multiple layers packed with flavour: chocolate, plum, smoke and citrus among them. Soft spring water comes from the area of Millbuies Loch to the south-east of the distillery. Please read our new privacy and cookies statement for more information. Really impressed and Bunnahabhain suprised with this Caperdonich expression. Most often the casks are rejuvenated before the casks are being refilled. Possibly the finest blended Scotch whisky available. Nose - smoke, iodine, brine, seaweed, rope, spices.
